  (Research):KINSHIP: Investigate> Lloyd's 'History of the Princes, the Lords Marcher and the Ancient Nobility of Powys Fadog' volume 2 page 302 gives him a son named Madog. This individual could be confused with Llywelyn. KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 1 page 332 makes him the son of Gwenllian ferch Rhys ap Tudur. KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 2 page 22 makes him the son of his grandfather Idnerth, thus omitting the generation of Madog. KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Griffith's 'Pedigrees of Anglesey and Carnarvonshire Families' page 169 makes him the son of his great grandfather Cadwgon, thus omitting several generations. KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Lloyd's 'History of the Princes, the Lords Marcher and the Ancient Nobility of Powys Fadog' volume 2 page 303 gives him two daughters named Efa and Morfudd. Efa supposedly married Mareudd ap Gruffudd, lord of Gwentlwg or Tredegar and Morfudd [generation 4] married Idnerth [generation 7] ap Llywelyn "Ddiried". KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Evans' 'British Genealogist' book 8 page H9 gives him additional sons; Cadwallon who married [unknown] ferch Philip ap Maredudd ap "Gwastils ap Ayddan ap Gw Voed" and died in 1234. This Cadwallon had a daughter "Eygyniir md Mdith Griff ap Mdith Gethin to Tewdwr. She was sole heir and as Mr. Thos she md Samuel ap Cadavel, Ld of Cedwain to Bleddyn ap Cynfin". Hywel whose son Morgan was last lord of Ceri and died without issue in 25 Henry III. Maredudd who is his grandson, and a daughter Dyddgu who is actually the daughter of a different Cadwallon ap Madog. LIVING: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 2 page 286 states he was living in 1194. KINSHIP: Eldest son. ELEGY: A elegy was written for him by Cynddelw in 1179 which can be found in 'History of the Princes, the Lords Marcher and the Ancient Nobility of Powys Fadog volume 2 pages 309 through 315 in English, and page 317 through 321 in Welsh. REMARKS: Together with his brother Einion "Clyd", he joined forces with Owain "Gwynedd" against Henry II at the battle of Crogen in 1165. (Lloyd, History of the Princes, the Lords Marcher and the Ancient Nobility of Powys Fadog, vol. 2 p. 300) REMARKS: In 1175, he and his brother Einion "Clyd" and other Welsh lords (Arglwydds), who had been in arms against the English king, were taken by Yr Arglwydd Rhys ap Llywelyn to the King's Court at Gloucester, and received to the King's peace.
