REMARKS: Margaret had the Bishop of Chester's dispensation, dated 23 Jan 1459/1460, to marry Sir John Butler [Boteler], in which she is described as the widow of William Troutbeck, Knight, deceased, and daughter of Thomas Lord Stanley, deceased.
