    • (Research):IDENTITY: Conflict/Error> Griffith's 'Pedigrees of Anglesey and Carnarvonshire Families' page 309 calls him "Reinallt, King of Man (in some books Madog ap Meredydd, of Powys)."
      KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 2 page 250 makes him the son of Efa ferch Bledrus.
      LIVING: Conflict/Error> 'Archaelogica Cambrensis' 6th Series volume 4 pages 129 and 130 state he was living in 1166, but other sources have him dead in 1160.
      MARRIAGE: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 1 pages 119 and 320 footnote 5 gives him Maude de Verdon or "Matilda Verdun" who survived him and married John Fitz Alan as second wife.

      REMARKS: The term King can be misleading. In Wales till the middle of the 12th century individuals were styled 'Brenin' meaning chief or high one, and 'Arglwydd' meaning lord or master.
