(Bartrum, Welsh Genealogies 300-1400, vol. 3 p. 126) (Research) KINSHIP: Investigate> Bartrum's 'Welsh Genealogies 300-1400' volume 3 page 126 gives two possible parentages. He is either the son of 1) Llywelyn "Foel" ap Moriddig of the tribe of Blegywryd, or 2) Llywelyn ap Dafydd of the tribe of Cydifor Fawr (vol. 4 page 198). (Research) KINSHIP: Investigate> Thomas' 'Golden Grove MS' book 7 page D873 makes him the son of Llywelyn "Fychan" ap Dafydd ap Gwythyr. It also states "G.O.K. calleth ye Jevan Jevan Van saith ye he was 2nd son Jen Llew Voel of Caerwedws (cd. 42)". (Research) KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Dwnn's 'Heraldic Visitations of Wales' volume 1 page 208 omits this generation from the name string. (Research) KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Evan's 'British Genealogist' book 1 page 107 omits this generation from the name string. (Research) KINSHIP: Conflict/Error> Thomas' 'Golden Grove MS' book 1 page A106 states "Jevan Llew foel aforesd had issue Jevan Vann who by some Genealogists is made to be ye ancestor of the Llwyds of Pwlldyfarch but by others they are made to be Descendants of Cadifor fawr which is most probable (as Mr. Wm Les) & therefore I shall omit in this place".
