| Notes |
- DEATH: William de Braose invited Seisyll ap Dyfnal to Abergavenny castle on Christmas day, 1177. Seisyll and his retainers were attacked by de Braose's men while they were feasting, unarmed, and were all murdered. William de Braose then marched to Castell Arnallt, razed it to the ground, slew Cadwaladr ap Seisyll, before his mother's eyes and took her prisoner to Abergavenny. (Bradney, History of Monmouthshire, vol. 1 p. 146, 335)
