  Reigned from 863 to 877. King of the Picts & Scots. King of Alba. Weir says he was killed in a battle against the Danes at Inverdorat, the Black Cove, Angus, however, Mike Ashley, in "Mammoth Book of British Kings & Queens," says he died in battle at Crail at the hands of a force of Vikings led by Halfdan, brother of Ivarr the Boneless. He was succeeded by his brother, Aed.
