    • Nicholas and Mary came to America aboard the ship Elizabeth Bonaventure, of which John Graves was the Master, in 1633, which departed from Yarmouth, England and landed in Boston.

      Nicholas is mentioned in "Early Settlers of Hingham, Massachusetts," by John D. Long, from he book "History of Hingham, Massachusetts," published in 1893. He is listed among the founders of Hingham in 1635, along with Clement Bates. In fact, according to Soloman Lincoln, the town's historian, writing in 1827:

      "...there were inhabitants here as early as 1633, and among them Ralph Smith, Nicholas Jacob[s] with his family..."
